Re: John Rudiak killed on motodcycle
The info I have on him is:
1223 Gusdorf Rd
Taos, NM 87571
I suspect any mail will be picked up at his home. I have not spoken with
any in his family yet. I will be getting more info today and will pass it
on. He was divorced and single but had a new girlfriend the last I heard.
He lived alone with his faithful Wiemarner companion, Willis.
No one else was hurt. I heard that witnesses in a car saw him pass by at a
high speed and disappear around the curve, when the car came around, he was
on the ground and apparently killed instantly. He was wearing a helmet.
John was not only a fine photographer but was trained in chemistry and I
believe he has a Masters Degree in chemistry from RIT. He also once worked
for Sprint photo chemical company. He did his own work in platinum and
chrysotype but also had a thriving business as a "contract" platinum
printer for other photo artists. I know he was currently working with a
couple of big name photogs to print their work in platinum.
Though John lived in Taos about 80 miles north of Santa Fe, he was a
regular at Santa Fe events. He will be missed by all of the photo community.
