For the record: Amazon demands a discount of 60% off list (yes, 60% !!!)
from any small source, which also has to pay to ship to Amazon. So unless
the book is way overpriced or has the economy of huge print run (as large
publishers do), the author makes little or nothing, especially if Amazon
orders only when *it* has an order, ie., one book at a time, as often
happens with small press.
Which is to say, buy direct if possible.
