Hi Gang,
While on the subject of transfer techniques could I mention Oil Transfer? This is a very straightforward and easily controllable process utilizing the skills of coating gelatine onto a paper support and printing from the positive image made from the dichro/UV hardened matrix after printing ink has been applied with a roller(brayer). Some workers used brushes similar to Bromoil, instead. I found a roller is very much more direct and quicker. As some will already have read, following his huge success with gum printing, Robert Demachy took up the Oil Transfer process. Realizing that this widens the subject of gum/carbon transfer/ etc., I hope this might be encouraging to those still searching for a process to suit their artistic needs.
Well, if it was good enough for Robert Demachy it might be good enough for me. Just a suggestion.......

''I agree and though I think it is possible to do gum transfer, I do not quite
understand what is the point of doing that (except maybe to show that it is
possible). In my opinion, if one is interested in transfer, then just do
carbon transfer. It is a process that is known to work nicely.
