Hi Joe.

Yes you are right, the possibility that it was collodion
emulsion did not enter my mind.

Collodion, as I understand it, is much stronger or
tougher, in many ways than gelatin, and has even been used
on occassion as a protective covering for gelatin
emulsions.

Thanks for pointing out my oversight.

Triage should come before treatment.
