This discussion about bulbs has been interesting.  Would it be worthwhile to
try aquarium lights for cyanotype?  They are locally available, unlike the
BL lights.
I tried the Whatman's printmaking paper yesterday, which is supposed to have
a long scale.  Oddly, it did the opposite of what the Crane's platinotype
did:  that is, more intense UV light later in the morning seemed to make
*more* steps!  More experimentation is in order.  I did think it made a
softer, less contrasty print.  But it is also a bit more textured.
