This is a curve which digital expert Scott Martin worked out for a
gravure workshop I did a couple of years ago. Participants (in a
darkroom free printmaking space) were saved the first step of making
positives. It got highlight densities in the range of 0.35-0.40 and
shadows at about 1.70. Worked fine for conventional gravure on
copper (w/ aquatint ground or second screen exposure), tho I don't
think that shadow detail wouldn't be open enough for use w/o aquatint
or screen.
