The Argon lamps in the Morse contact printers may not be easy to replace.
I wanted to buy some spare lamps several years ago and the ones I got
came from Japan and didn't look like the original lamps. They cost $5
apiece. With the printer I had, modern papers would overexpose in less
than a second. I never tried any alt process with it.
