OK, I hope to finally put an end to this sometimes humourous and sometimes
the just plain ridiculousness of the current thread started by a simple
statement I uttered regarding the use I made of a very light weight view
camera. That, of course, would be my statement of "shooting nudes". Being
that I have long since rejected the postmodernist contexturalist viewpoint
and much of the political correctness that accompanies it, I hope this will
clarify my statement by the following:
I was:	a)shooting the nude
                b)photographing the nude
c)making an image of the nude
                d)rendering the nude on film
                e)"conjouring" the nude
f)redefining the Pictorialist nude in a contemporary context
g)thumbing my nose at feminist disapproval
i)making images of something I love
j)creating negatives in which to make platinum prints
                k)creating pictures of beauty
l)making portraits of the dear friends I am photographing
m)making prints to supply to my galleries and collectors
o)having the chance to photograph in a beautiful environment
p)getting exercise carrying all that equipment around
q)continuing a body of work I have been doing for 30 years
Please fell free to choose any one or more of the above. If you disagree with
one, then perhaps another choice will be more to your liking. The amazing
thing is that all of the above were done simultaneously. And at the same time.
Sometimes a word is just a word.
