I would like to weigh in also on another option for those people wanting to
make 8 X 10negatives but are not interested in a traditional view camera. I
manufacture an 8 X 10 that weighs just 7 1/2 pounds, takes lenses from 120mm
to 450mm, has front rise and front tilt only. It is based in concept on those
wonderful portrait cameras that were produced from the 20's to the 50's and
were designed to be simple for use in the studio. I have been shooting nudes
in the landscape with mine and have not needed any more movements other than
what it has. It is a non-folding camera made from Australian lacewood and
African wenge and uses black coated aluminum and brass metal parts. I have
just 4 left from my last run and would like to find good homes for them. This
is a camera for those who may not have considered an 8 X 10 due to the weight
issue. Please contact me directly if you are interested. It sure beats
digital enlargements.
