Sil's comments on easiness and permanence are very much to the point.

Earlier comments by A.N. Other in this thread that he was right because he
knows that he is do not help at all.

As to Sil's comments on mordanted dyes in carbon printing, I tend to think
as carbon as one of the 'pigment processes'. I would find it helpful if
Sil could set out, very briefly, which carbon proceses do not use pigments(
some of which can be permanent).
