Brown Prints Longevity

I am fairly new to the list. I've been lurking for a couple of months.
I am a graduate student at the University of Arkansas working on my
Masters in Fine Arts babbleon@ican.net (Photography). That doesn't mean that I know all
that much about photography though. I'm just learning.
My question is for information about Van Dyke prints. I would like any
info for making the prints last longer. I have a few that are several
years old, and they have faded quite a bit. I would also like any
recipes for varieties in the prints. I am experimenting, so any ideas
are welcome. Thanks.
