I, for one, am not crazy about Yahoo Groups. The interface is clunky and as sludgy as a gumoil brush left to dry for two weeks. I think the feel of the list is special "because" of its email-list-style and delivery...just sayin'.

We have an individual who has offered to host. If we can get the archives transferred and list-serv up for him, the list should be ok without resorting to a format and feel change. If we need money to make that happen, I'm willing to contribute.

Paul

I have to echo the sentiments already expressed here.. I may have been a lurker for the most part (health issues), but I have learned a LOT from this list.

I would also have to second (or third) the suggestion to move to Yahoo groups for now. Lots of advantages, including an area for images/photos. Most (if not all) of us probably have a Yahoo account anyway, so it would just be a matter of setting up & sending out a notice/inviting people to join.

Good luck in finding which way you're supposed to turn next.

Hello all:

The University of Saskatchewan has eliminated my position. I was layed off this morning (Nov 10).

Because of this I will no longer be able to manage the alt-photo-process-L@usask.ca mailing list.
I no longer have access to my University address:
gordon.holtslander@uask.ca

If any wishes to contact me please use the address gjh@shaw.ca

Its been great hosting this list :)
